SANY India made a strong impression at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 by highlighting its commitment to local manufacturing. The company displayed a range of construction equipment produced at its Chakan plant in Pune, featuring domestically manufactured components such as engines, hydraulic systems, and track parts.
In a move reflecting the industry’s push toward sustainability, SANY also introduced electric versions of its machinery, including mining dump trucks, forklifts, and terminal tractors. These eco-friendly innovations align with global efforts to reduce emissions in the heavy machinery sector.
Sanjay Saxena, Chief Operating Officer of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support at SANY Heavy Industry India, emphasized the company’s dedication to boosting domestic production. He highlighted SANY’s efforts to minimize reliance on imports by enhancing local manufacturing capabilities.
Since its entry into the Indian market in 2009, SANY India has steadily grown its manufacturing presence. The Chakan facility, established in 2014, serves as the company’s primary production hub in India, manufacturing a wide range of construction equipment, including excavators, cranes, and concrete machinery.
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo, now in its second year, aims to showcase India’s advancements in mobility and manufacturing. This year’s theme, “Viksit Bharat ke Vikasrath” (Vehicles of Developed India’s Progress), resonates with the government’s vision of achieving self-reliance in manufacturing.
The construction equipment sector in India is experiencing significant growth, driven by increased infrastructure projects and government investments. Industry experts predict sustained expansion, supported by ongoing urbanization and infrastructure development. SANY India’s participation in the expo underscores its role in this evolving landscape.
