Communities in the Beryslav district of the Kherson region, Ukraine, have received crucial support in the form of inverter power generating sets, donated by philanthropists to ensure the uninterrupted operation of essential services amidst ongoing power challenges.
According to the Beryslav District Military Administration, 18 inverter generators were delivered to various communities, including Novooleksandrivska, Milivska, Beryslavska, Novorayska, Tyaginska, and Novovorontsovska. These generators are being deployed to power critical infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, and administrative centers, helping to maintain essential services for local residents.
Key Support from USAID and Charitable Foundations
This donation was made possible thanks to the USAID Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative (UCBI 4) project, with additional support from the Kherson Oblast Charitable Foundation. These efforts are part of a larger initiative to strengthen the region’s resilience and ensure the continuation of vital community functions despite the ongoing energy crisis exacerbated by the war.
Recently, the Kherson region also received 118 powerful charging stations to further support social infrastructure. These charging stations were distributed to 11 communities in the area, helping hospitals, educational institutions, administrative centers, and other public facilities continue their operations.
International Humanitarian Aid
The region has also received vital humanitarian aid from international partners. The municipality of Kiel, Germany, and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have contributed both equipment and assistance to support Kherson’s local communities.
Additionally, the Shelter Foundation has provided the city of Beryslav—frequently targeted by enemy shelling—with a modern generator worth over half a million hryvnias. This generator is specifically aimed at ensuring the continued operation of the local water supply system during power outages.
In Mykolaiv, another critical step has been taken to stabilize the region’s essential services: generators were supplied to the local utility company and the education department, ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of the city’s drinking water treatment systems.

These donations of generators and other essential equipment are part of ongoing efforts to support Ukrainian communities enduring constant challenges. They play a vital role in maintaining stability in the face of adversity, ensuring that local residents can access healthcare, education, and basic utilities despite ongoing energy shortages and the destructive effects of the war.
