German building façade cleaning company Algenmax has transitioned from diesel-powered vans to using Miba Battery Systems’ VOLTSTATION CS30 mobile energy storage units, marking a significant step towards greater sustainability and efficiency in its operations.
The VOLTSTATION CS30 system meets Algenmax’s requirements for cost reduction, improved efficiency, and environmental sustainability. The system provides up to 10 hours of energy, offering more space within the vans for additional equipment while optimizing workflow through bidirectional charging. In addition to eliminating ongoing fuel costs, the switch has reduced maintenance expenses and extended the lifespan of the equipment.
As of now, over 70% of Algenmax’s fleet has been upgraded with the VOLTSTATION CS30, a move that will be pivotal to the company’s expansion plans in Norway and the Netherlands, set for 2025.
The VOLTSTATION CS30 is not limited to cleaning applications; it also holds promise for use in industries like construction, as well as for special vehicles, including transit buses and fire engines.
Stefan Gaigg, Managing Director of Miba Battery Systems, highlighted the versatility and advantages of the technology: “It ensures a reliable energy supply, reduces costs, and can be flexibly integrated into various mobile applications. Additionally, it contributes to lowering noise emissions in urban construction projects, a crucial benefit in densely populated areas.”
