HC Robotics, a subsidiary of Centillion Networks, has announced an investment of Rs 500 crore in Telangana. The move aims to expand the state’s IT sector beyond Hyderabad and bring high-quality job opportunities to smaller towns in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu, shared the news on social media, saying, “Great news for rural Telangana! HC Robotics is investing Rs 500 crore in our state. They will create 500 jobs this year and 2,000 jobs over the next three years.”
He also expressed gratitude to Centillion’s leadership for choosing Telangana, highlighting the state’s growing potential in the tech sector. He added that Centillion Networks and HC Robotics, which operate in nine countries, are known for their expertise in cutting-edge technologies like drone technology, robotics, and aerospace software. This partnership is expected to boost Telangana’s innovation ecosystem.
HC Robotics, founded in 2018 and based in Hyderabad, specializes in creating customized hardware and software solutions. These include Mobile LiDAR systems, AI-based image processing, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The company’s advanced products, like the Truly3D LiDAR Viewer and Ropoli-portable LiDAR, are used in industries such as telecom and utilities for mobile mapping and LiDAR surveys.
The company’s team includes top AI and robotics engineers, as well as experienced leaders from telecom and tech industries. They bring decades of experience to manage large-scale projects. HC Robotics is also committed to the “Make in India” initiative, focusing on delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions.
The company has partnered with prestigious institutions like IIT Hyderabad and IIIT-D&M Kurnool for research and development. Additionally, HC Robotics has teamed up with the French company Merio to manufacture advanced gimbals for the Indian Armed Forces, improving surveillance capabilities.
HC Robotics’ drone products, with features such as 40-minute endurance and a 5 kg payload capacity, are equipped with collision prevention and obstacle avoidance technology. These drones are designed for applications like aerial surveillance, military intelligence, and search and rescue missions.
