BGR Tech Ltd., a subsidiary of Prenora Holding and a leader in energy engineering, has introduced its cutting-edge 100 kW Hydrogen Purification System. The system is designed to improve hydrogen refinement through electrolysis, marking a significant step in India’s clean energy efforts. The launch event was attended by Bhupender Bhalla, former Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), who underscored India’s commitment to advancing green energy technologies.
The new system by BGR Tech produces 99.999% pure, fuel-cell-grade hydrogen and can operate at high pressures of up to 30 bar. Its modular and scalable design makes it adaptable for various uses, including fuel cells, combustion engines, and industrial processes like steel annealing. The plug-and-play feature ensures quick installation and commissioning, eliminating the need for complex on-site fabrication.
At the event, Bhupender Bhalla stressed the importance of hydrogen technology in India’s energy transition. “India’s green hydrogen sector is set to grow rapidly in the next five years,” he said. “To stay competitive, companies must build strong core capabilities. I urge BGR Tech, led by Managing Director Ms. Priya, to broaden its focus beyond hydrogen and explore other emerging gas-based technologies like biogas, methanol, and green ammonia. This will strengthen BGR Tech’s position in India’s clean energy future.”
Parthiban S., Head of Business Development at BGR Tech, highlighted the company’s dedication to sustainability. “Our focus is on improving energy efficiency in our systems to compete globally,” he said. “By using locally sourced components, we aim to create a strong green hydrogen ecosystem in India. Our efforts align with India’s vision of achieving zero-carbon emissions by 2030.”
