The partnership also includes servicing and maintenance, supporting India’s goal of achieving self-reliance in defence production.

Together, they aim to drive innovation, reduce India’s reliance on imports, and build a robust domestic manufacturing ecosystem. BEML plans to upgrade its manufacturing processes to focus on specialized engine production, with a strong emphasis on localisation and indigenisation.
