Ahmedabad-based Grew Solar, a renewable energy arm of the Chiripal Group, has announced plans to invest ₹3,000 crore in setting up a fully integrated solar module manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh. The plant, to be located in Narmadapuram near Bhopal, will span 60 acres and have an annual production capacity of 3 GW. It will manufacture ingots, wafers, and solar cells, and is expected to create over 1,000 jobs in the region once operational.
This new facility adds to Grew Solar’s existing operations. The company currently operates a 3 GW manufacturing unit in Jaipur, Rajasthan, with an additional 5 GW capacity under development in Dudu, Jaipur. Once completed, the Jaipur facility will have a total capacity of 8 GW.
Grew Solar has also expanded its production in Jaipur, where its second unit is now operational. Designed to meet international standards, the Jaipur facility is a key part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its position in the solar manufacturing sector.
Vinay Thadani, Director and CEO of Grew Solar, highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
