Renault Group and Geely Holding Group Announce Strategic Partnership in Brazil for Zero and Low Emission Vehicles

Renault Group and Geely Holding Group have signed a framework agreement to strengthen their collaboration in Brazil. The partnership will focus on producing and selling zero and low emission vehicles through Renault do Brasil. As part of the deal, Geely Holding will become a minority shareholder in Renault do Brasil, gaining access to its local production, sales, and service networks. The agreement is pending final approvals and regulatory clearance.

The collaboration will utilize Renault Group’s Ayrton Senna Complex in São José dos Pinhais, Paraná. The complex includes two advanced production facilities, which will manufacture vehicles for both Geely and Renault, alongside Renault’s existing models.

On the sales side, Renault do Brasil will distribute Geely’s range of zero and low emission vehicles in the Brazilian market. This partnership allows Geely to leverage Renault’s established commercial network to accelerate its growth in Brazil, the largest automotive market in South America.
