AVPL International (AITMC Ventures Ltd.), a global leader in drone technology, has joined forces with the Odisha government to offer specialized drone training to 420 individuals in high-demand job roles. This initiative, approved by the 12th Steering Committee of NUA-Odisha, aims to provide skill-based employment opportunities to rural youth in the state and help them tap into emerging industries.
The training program will focus on three key areas: 180 candidates will be trained as Electric Vehicle (EV) Service Technicians, 180 as Drone Service Technicians, and 60 as Drone Data Processors. The program responds to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the drone sector. It also seeks to bridge the technology gap between urban and rural areas while enhancing the skills of the future workforce.
Given Odisha’s strong agricultural sector, the training program will also help rural communities apply drone technology to improve crop management and generate sustainable income.
Preet Sandhuu, Founder and Managing Director of AVPL International, emphasized the significance of the program, saying, “We are proud to partner with the Directorate of Skill Development on this transformative initiative. This is an important step toward preparing India’s workforce for the future by equipping them with the skills needed in new technologies.
