Vadodara-based Conmat Group has successfully acquired 100% ownership of KYB Conmat Private Limited, a leading manufacturer of concrete construction equipment. This acquisition includes products such as batching plants, paving machines, transit mixers, concrete pumps, and self-loading mixers. The deal was finalized with the signing of a Share Purchase Agreement, completed on January 6, 2025.
KYB Conmat Private Limited was originally a joint venture formed in 2013. KYB Corporation of Japan held a 51% stake in Conmat Systems Pvt. Ltd. to produce transit mixers in India, using KYB’s technology. Under the new arrangement, KYB will continue to provide a non-exclusive license for its transit mixer technology.
The acquisition comes as the Indian market for transit mixers is shifting toward larger equipment. As demand grows for more advanced machinery suited to local conditions, Conmat Group sees this acquisition as a way to leverage its design and development capabilities to manufacture bigger and more sophisticated machines.
