Gabriel India Ltd has signed a Technical Assistance Agreement with TracTive Suspension BV, a Dutch leader in suspension technology. The deal, announced on February 21, 2025, grants Gabriel India exclusive rights to manufacture, sell, and distribute TracTive’s suspension adjustment technologies in India.
The collaboration aims to improve Gabriel India’s suspension products by integrating advanced engineering solutions and allowing local manufacturing. TracTive will support the partnership by offering technical expertise, knowledge transfer, and training to Gabriel India’s team.
Under the terms of the agreement, Gabriel India will pay a mix of lump sum fees and royalties to TracTive. With a turnover of INR 34,220 million in the 2023-24 fiscal year, Gabriel India is poised to benefit greatly from TracTive’s innovative suspension technology. TracTive, which reported a turnover of 8.0 million euros for the same period, is known for its cutting-edge suspension adjustment solutions.
The companies have confirmed that the agreement does not involve any related-party transactions, and no promoter or group companies have any interest in the deal. Gabriel India, founded in 1961, is a prominent manufacturer of ride control products such as shock absorbers, struts, and front forks. The company serves a wide range of vehicles, including cars, commercial vehicles, and two-wheelers, with major clients like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and Hero MotoCorp.
TracTive, founded in 2010, specializes in electronically adjustable suspension systems. The company has developed patented technologies for semi-active and active suspension solutions, serving high-performance vehicles, motorcycles, and specialized automotive applications.
