Ahmedabad-based Airox Nigen Equipments, a pioneer in green hydrogen solutions, has successfully commissioned a 72 Nm³/hour green hydrogen project for Toshiba Plant Systems & Services Corp. (TPSC) in Bangladesh. The initiative marks a significant step in advancing sustainable energy practices in South Asia.
The project involved the installation of three skid-mounted systems, each capable of producing 24 Nm³/hour of hydrogen using a 120 kW alkaline electrolyzer. These systems are equipped with compressors and can store hydrogen at 10 bar pressure, with the ability to compress and fill cylinders at 150 bar for optimized usage. The hydrogen produced is integrated into TPSC’s grid, enhancing grid stability and supporting the region’s transition to cleaner energy sources.
Airox Nigen oversaw the entire project lifecycle, from design and engineering to installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance. The system’s reliability was confirmed through a rigorous 96-hour Performance Guarantee Test Run (PGTR), ensuring its suitability for micro-grid applications.
