Anker has officially launched the Solix F3800 Plus portable power station in the US, providing a powerful home backup solution for power outages. Building on the success of its predecessor, the F3800 (which was crowdfunded in 2023), the new F3800 Plus introduces key upgrades, including higher solar input capacity and compatibility with gas generators.
The F3800 Plus retains the 3.84 kWh battery capacity of the original model, but now supports 3,200W of solar input, up from 2,400W. This enables users to connect up to eight 400W solar panels and fully charge in just 1.5 hours under optimal conditions. In addition, the station is compatible with 240V gas generators, providing an alternative charging method with a maximum input of 6,000W. Anker emphasizes that the F3800 Plus runs quieter than traditional generators, making it a more user-friendly choice for home use. However, this feature requires a separate generator input adapter.
The F3800 Plus has a versatile output array, including six 120V 20A AC outlets with a total output of up to 6,000W, enough to power large appliances such as washing machines, dryers or air conditioners. It also features NEMA L14-30 and NEMA TT-30P outlets, three 100W USB-C ports, two 12W USB-A ports, and a 120W car outlet. Users can remotely manage the power station through the Anker app, adding convenience to its functionality.
The battery capacity is expandable from 3,840 Wh to 26,880 Wh, providing flexibility for different energy needs. The F3800 Plus will be available in the US on March 12, with an early bird discount for those who sign up for the mailing list. Early customers can purchase the device for $3,199 and receive a free 400W solar panel (valued at $899) and protective cover (valued at $99). Accessories such as transfer switches and generator adapters will also be available at discounted prices. In comparison, the original Solix F3800 currently retails for $3,999 on Amazon.
