Jakson Engineers Ltd, a subsidiary of the Jakson Group, has delivered 100 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to Gujarat Industries Power Co. Ltd (GIPCL). These modules will be used in GIPCL’s 2,375 MW Renewable Energy Park near Khavda, Gujarat. The company supplied around 190,000 units of its Helia Plus PERC bifacial solar panels, manufactured by Jakson Solar Modules and Cells.
In a strategic move to expand its operations, Jakson Solar Modules and Cells plans to invest INR 2,000 crore ($215.9 million) to establish a 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility. Additionally, the company aims to increase its solar module production capacity from 1.2 GW to 2 GW.
