Dassault Systèmes, a global leader in Virtual Twin Experiences, has teamed up with Apple to redefine product design and manufacturing. The collaboration introduces 3D UNIV+RSES, powered by Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform and integrated with Apple Vision Pro’s spatial computing technology. This innovation will debut through the 3DLive app, set to launch this summer on Apple’s visionOS.
The partnership combines Dassault Systèmes’ expertise in virtual twin technology with Apple Vision Pro’s advanced cameras, sensors, and spatial tracking. Together, they enable users to interact with virtual 3D models—known as virtual twins—in real-world environments with unprecedented precision.
The 3DLive app will allow users to visualize and collaborate on virtual twins in real time, transforming industries like manufacturing, training, and operations. This technology promises to help businesses adapt faster to market changes, improve product quality, and streamline workforce training.
Elisa Prisner, Executive Vice President at Dassault Systèmes, highlighted the collaboration’s impact: “Working with Apple marks a major leap forward. 3D UNIV+RSES bridges the real and virtual worlds, offering immense value to our customers, especially in developing AI-driven, next-gen experiences.”
Mike Rockwell, Apple’s Vice President of the Vision Products Group, added: “Apple Vision Pro is changing how industries operate through spatial computing. Partnering with Dassault Systèmes enhances the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, empowering engineers and designers to bring 3D designs to life like never before.”
Starting this summer, enterprise customers can access this breakthrough technology via the 3DLive app on Apple Vision Pro. Additionally, Dassault Systèmes is launching HomeByMe Reality, another Vision Pro app that lets users visualize home interiors and explore furniture and real estate options from home or in-store.
The announcement was made at Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Forum in Houston, underscoring the company’s commitment to innovation in North America. Since its founding in 1981, Dassault Systèmes has pioneered virtual solutions to enhance real-world outcomes, supporting over 350,000 customers in driving sustainable innovation.
This collaboration marks a new era in product design, blending cutting-edge technologies to create immersive, efficient, and transformative experiences.
